Eau de UF

4

December

The University of Florida soon will have a signature scent, thanks to a company that designs fragrances based on school colors, campus flowers and other features reminiscent of a student’s college experience.

Pennsylvania-based Masik Collegiate Fragrances already has developed scents for several other universities, including Penn State and the University of North Carolina.

The scents come in cologne for men and perfume for women and are priced at $60 for 3.4 ounces. A percentage of proceeds from each bottle sold goes to the schools' scholarship and athletic funds.

The company says Penn State’s perfume smells like vanilla, lilac, rose and white patchouli. The cologne smells of blue cypress and cracked pepper. UNC’s perfume has top notes that “sparkle with lychee champagne accord” while “lush jasmine and rose bring warmth and tenderness to the middle notes.”

There’s no word yet on what the company will conjure for UF.
