FCAT scores on the way

June

The latest memo from Florida K-12 chancellor Frances Haithcock to superintendents says that districts should begin receiving results late Monday, with a public release expected mid-morning Tuesday.

Student reports for parents, along with letters of apology from Pearson, would arrive July 6-8 for delivery.

As for when the testing company will send its multimillion-dollar late fee, still no word on that. We'll bring you more details as they become available.

To see Haithcock's full memo, read on.

2010 FCAT student reports will be delivered to districts, packaged by school, for distribution to students and parents. You will also receive a supply of letters of apology from Pearson. These letters may be provided to parents and students at the same time you distribute the student reports and will be packaged by school. Information on how districts will be reimbursed for costs associated with distributing reports will be sent to you next week.

Please select your district’s most expeditious method for providing individual student reports to your students. Both state and federal guidelines require that student reports be made available to parents as
soon as possible following each test administration (No Child Left Behind Act of 2001, 20 U.S.C. § 6311 (2002) and Section 1008.25(8)(a), F.S.).

Electronic media containing the following text files will be delivered to District Assessment Coordinators on the same schedule as the student reports delivery schedule:

·         District Student Results (DSR) file

·         District Aggregated Results (DAR) file

·         State Aggregated Results (SAR) file

This email is also being sent to your District Assessment Coordinators. If you have questions about accessing the PearsonAccess site, please contact Jackie Mueller, Bureau of K-12 Assessment, at [mailto:jackie.mueller@fldoe.org ]jackie.mueller@fldoe.org, or call 850-245-0513.
