Florida education commissioner welcomes Legg's anti-bullying support
Florida education commissioner Gerard Robinson is heeding state Rep. John Legg's call to amp up efforts to end school bullying.
In a letter to Legg, Robinson pledged to do whatever is possible to help keep kids safe.
"I am committed to doing all I can to ensure that Florida's students are offered the protections and supports necessary to prevent further tragedies," Robinson wrote.
He noted the efforts to implement the Jeffrey Johnston Act, and said Florida will continue to work proactively to protect children.
"Tackling the issues surrounding bullying and harassment with take a concerted effort at all levels," he wrote to Legg "I welcome the opportunity to work with you to ensure Florida's students are provided positive and safe learning environments."
