For Florida schools with good grades, another $122 million
The state is handing out $122 million this year to 2,103 schools with A and/or improving grades, a fall ritual that began under former Gov. Jeb Bush and continues under Gov. Charlie Crist. School advisory councils determine what to do with the money. Many choose to convert it into modest bonuses for teachers. Here are the totals for districts around Tampa Bay:
