Two years ago, when Florida schools cracked the Top 10 in Education Week's annual Quality Counts report (later, technically, it turned out they were No. 11), the news lead was, "Today, pigs fly." Last year, when they reached No. 8, the lead was, "Seriously?"

So what do you say this year when Florida schools are again in the Top 10, this time rising to No. 5?

Is Ed Week bonkers? Or are Florida schools nowhere near as bad as people think?
