Florida students continue to rank high in AP performance
Florida's NAEP scores may be stalling. But the Sunshine State continues to be a leader in the percentage of high school students taking - and passing - college-caliber Advanced Placement exams. According to the latest national AP report, released by the College Board this morning, Florida is No. 1 in the percentage of 2011 graduates who took an AP exam (47.4 percent); No. 6 in the percentage passing at least one exam (23.9 percent); and No. 4 in improving the passing percentage since 2001 (up 10.5 percentage points).
