Florida teachers not alone in facing changing work conditions
Florida school teachers face some major changes to their contracts, evaluations, pay schedules and terms of employment if bills coursing through the Legislature make it all the way through.
But they're hardly alone. Consider:
Wisconsin's governor is proposing to eliminate collective bargaining. (Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel)
Tennessee lawmakers also are working to eliminate collective bargaining. (The Tennessean)
Indiana lawmakers make progress with bills to implement vouchers and to tie teacher pay to student test scores. (Indianapolis Star)
Wonder whether all the talk of collaboration in Denver will have an effect on the mood.
