Former Florida education commissioner speaking in Georgia
Jeb Bush isn't the only one doing his best to spread his vision of education reform to other states. Former Florida education commissioner John Winn, a close Bush ally and a leading architect of Florida's accountability system, is the keynote speaker tomorrow at an education reform conference in Georgia.
Winn will be talking to Georgia lawmakers and business leaders about the system he helped put into place in Florida - and which remains largely intact under Gov. Charlie Crist. He is now chief program officer for AP and pre-AP courses at the National Math and Science Initiative.
