Former Pinellas superintendent John Stewart not done yet
When John Stewart left the Pinellas school district after a a year as interim superintendent, he told the Times that he planned to settle back into his retirement and take in some Gators games.
Looks like he'll be postponing his lazy days again.
The Ledger reports that Stewart is headed to the Polk school district, where he served three terms as superintendent, to take the reins as interim leader following Sherrie Nickell's departure. He's to stick around long enough to let the School Board search for a permanent superintendent.
"John would be a perfect fit," board member Frank O'Reilly said. "He will increase morale, which has gone down."
