Genshaft traveling to Israel with Gov. Scott, Haridopolos

University of South Florida President Judy Genshaft will this week join Gov. Rick Scott, state senate president Mike Haridopolos and nearly 50 others on a weeklong trade mission to Israel.

Genshaft is making the trip to foster a partnership between USF and Israel's Ben Gurion University of Negev and promote a collaboration with USF's CleanTech research, USF says. She is paying her own way.

Scott and his wife's travels will be paid for with private funds collected by Enterprise Florida, the state's economic development agency, Florida Today reported. Haridopolos' expenses are being paid by taxpayers.
