Gerard Robinson makes the rounds in Florida education

He still doesn't have a negotiated salary or other terms of employment. His official start date isn't until Aug. 8.

But that's not stopping Gerard Robinson from acting the part of Florida education commissioner now.

He introduced Florida's teacher of the year last week. He's a featured speaker at the Hispanic CREO's symposium on school choice later this week.

And today, Robinson is attending a meet and greet in Orlando for the state's school superintendents.

Superintendents have told the Gradebook they appreciated former commissioner Eric Smith's willingness to listen to their concerns and to change rules and procedures based on their input. Can't wait to hear how they find Robinson's approach.
