Gibbs, Boca Ciega get college prep boost
Gibbs and Boca Ciega high schools are among 21 statewide that were named this week to a project aimed at better preparing their students for college.
Each school will have a 12th grade "College Success Academy" next fall that's expected to enroll more than 100 students. The schools will be partnering with St. Petersburg College to give the students a chance to satisfy college remediation requirements, take dual enrollment classes and start earning college credit.
