A group of Houston teachers are having a performance pay experience that Florida educators can only hope doesn't happen here. First, the school district overlooked hundreds of teachers who earned the bonuses but didn't get them. Now, it's asking 99 teachers to send some of the cash back because it overpaid them, the Houston Chronicle reports. Maybe there's a lesson here as lawmakers revise the performance pay law that has angered so many Florida educators.
