Gov. Charlie Crist gets no love from Jeb Bush despite signing voucher bill

Jeb Bush's Foundation for Florida's Future is aglow about the signing of SB 2126 today, but the following press release doesn't mention Gov. Charlie Crist by name. Must have been an accident ...

“More Florida families will gain the financial freedom to provide a quality and customized education for their children thanks to the signing of SB 2126 into law today,” said Patricia Levesque, executive director of the Foundation for Florida’s Future. “The Florida Tax Credit Scholarship gives parents a voice in their child’s education that they may not have been able to afford on their own.”
SB 2126 expands eligibility for students and allows new sources of tax revenue for the Florida Tax Credit Scholarship Program. During the last several years, this successful, cost-saving program has provided low-income students, who would not otherwise have had the ability, to pursue a quality education in the school of their choice.
“The Florida Tax Credit Scholarship provides a lifeline to students who might otherwise be trapped in a failing school,” said Levesque.  “Thanks to the bold reforms undertaken by Florida’s Legislature this year, the Sunshine State continues to be a leader in providing educational choices to families.”
