Gov. Scott names Pinellas newcomer to fill Lew Williams' seat

gilzean.jpgGov. Rick Scott has appointed a former Department of Education staffer to replace the late Lew Williams on the Pinellas school board, a district spokeswoman said Monday. Glenton "Glen" Gilzean Jr., 29, who just moved to Pinellas County late last year, according to his application, was a regional field director for the DOE from 2006 to 2009. He now directs a nonprofit called Educate Today.
