Help Pasco schools count their pennies

Pennies The Pasco School Board is looking for seven people to serve on its volunteer Penny for Pasco oversight committee.

The committee reviews the district's expenses related to the revenue generated by its voter-approved 1 percent sales tax. Projects have included new schools and school renovations. In its most recent annual report, the committee praised the district as a good steward of the money.

Now it's time to rotate some of the members. If you want to serve on the committee, call Denise Janes for an application at (813) 794-2753, (727) 774-2753 or (352) 524-2753. The terms last two years, and begin in January.
