The Hillsborough school district has called off everything for this evening because of the bad weather. That includes athletics, evening meetings, trainings and anything else you can think of.

"Though some areas of Hillsborough County are being affected more than others, the storms today have proven to be fast-moving and somewhat unpredictable," according to a news release. "School dismissal will proceed as usual. In the event of violent storm activity at dismissal time, principals will exercise their judgment about whether to delay dismissal at their school."

Pasco County has not canceled its activities, saying the worst of the weather is to the south. Pinellas schools are out for spring break.
