Hillsborough Gifted Parents Unite
Parents of gifted children in Hillsborough public schools are launching a support group, the Gifted Advocacy Council of Hillsborough. They seek to create a forum for gifted parents to network and learn about educating gifted children.
The council has an ambitious schedule for the first year, including a field trip to a gifted program in Sarasota and a visit from Hillsborough Superintendent MaryEllen Elia. The first general meeting is September 15, 10 a.m. to noon, at MacFarlane Park Elementary School.
The group's president, Stephanie Georgiades, is a Westchase parent and former candidate for School Board. For more information, including a calendar of events for the year, check out the GACH website.
