Hillsborough superintendent wins zoning battle
TAMPA -- It seems even school superintendents aren't immune from neighbor problems.
In case you missed it, Hillsborough superintendent MaryEllen Elia appeared Thursday before the City Council in an effort to rezone her home's lot in South Tampa.
She said the rezoning was needed to build glass windows around her patio, the better to keep her neighbor from peering over the fence and taking pictures.
"We feel like we're being stalked," she said.
The council approved Elia's request. But judging from neighbors' comments at the meeting, the feud continues unabated.
