Hillsborough teacher resigns after abuse arrest
A teacher who was accused of grinding a shoe into a 5-year-old child's face on Oct. 9 has resigned from the Hillsborough County school system, spokeswoman Linda Cobbe said.
Esraa Mohamed Soliman, 37, was charged with child abuse stemming from her alleged treatment of the 5-year-old autistic boy at Seminole Heights Elementary School. Witnesses saw him throw a shoe at Soliman when she attempted to discipline him. They said she retaliated by grinding the shoe in his face.
