Hispanic achievement gaps a lot smaller in Florida
Florida is one of only four states where the achievement gaps between white and Hispanic students is smaller than the national average in both reading and math, and in both grades 4 and 8 (grades tested by the National Assessment of Educational Progress), according to a report released this morning by the National Center for Education Statistics. The report also suggests, though, that the gaps in Florida have not narrowed over time. Read more about the national trends here.
