How budget cuts are chipping away at teacher pay



Today's story about next year's tax referendum in Pinellas noted how much the average teacher in Pinellas will get socked salary wise, given legislative mandates for pension contributions, the possibility of higher health insurance costs and furloughs, etc. The Gradebook got that information from Marshall Ogletree, executive director of the Pinellas Classroom Teachers Association. Ogletree sent us a spreadsheet that shows us how he arrived at his figures. It's attached below.
