How is your Florida public school performing?
Every year, federal law requires Florida schools to provide parents a School Public Accountability Report, showing how each school has performed in several categories including kindergarten readiness, graduation rate and testing results. The SPAR also provides basic demographic information about the students.
The reports aren't yet ready. But the state Department of Education has updated its accountability website to provide the 2011-12 data for schools to use in preparing their reports.
It's searchable by school, and provides quite a bit of interesting statistical detail. Check it out.
