Hudson Middle gets principal; No. 2 spots filled at other Pasco schools

holback.jpgOne down, one to go. Hudson Middle School has a new principal, leaving the Irvin Education Center as the only Pasco County school without a top leader.

Terry Holback, assistant principal at Bayonet Point Middle School, received the nod today from superintendent Heather Fiorentino to run Hudson Middle School. She would replace Phil Kupczyk, who resigned for health reasons, if the School Board approves.

Holback joined the district in 1995 as a teacher at Gulf Middle School. She became an assistant principal in 2006.

Speaking of assistant principals, Fiorentino also has recommended several changes in those positions, including a high school shuffle that has been rumored for weeks. Her appointments are:

  • Mindy Predmore, teacher at Schrader Elementary, at Deer Park Elementary.
  • Elizabeth Bedeker, instructional technology specialist at Richey Elementary, at Gulf Trace Elementary.
  • Traci Hemingway, literacy coach at Pine View Elementary, at Pine View Elementary.
  • Karyn Kinzie, teacher at Odessa Elementary, at Sand Pine Elementary.
  • Iveta Maska, assistant principal at Moon Lake Elementary, moving to Fox Hollow Elementary.
  • Kimberly Davis, assistant principal at Sunlake High, moving to Anclote High.
  • Deborah Lepley, assistant principal at Gulf High, moving to Sunlake High.
  • Scott Davey, assistant principal at Hudson High, moving to Zephyrhills High.
