It's official: Kurt Browning makes the ballot

17

April

Not that there was much doubt. But former Florida secretary of state Kurt Browning made his appearance on the August primary ballot official today when he received word that he had submitted all the voter signatures needed to qualify for the race to be Pasco County's schools superintendent.

He announced he had reached his goal on his campaign Twitter account just minutes ago. See the certification letter here.

Incumbent superintendent Heather Fiorentino continues to collect her petition signatures. As of today, she had 922 certified signatures of the 2,980 needed. She has until the first week of May to complete the petition. Otherwise she can pay a filing fee to get on the ballot for the Republican primary against Browning and hopeful Kenneth Benson, who is a few hundred signatures away from also qualifying.
