Jackson, Krassner have money edge in Pinellas School Board races
With two weeks to go, Pinellas School Board candidates Jim Jackson and Terry Krassner have proved to be the most prolific fundraisers.
Jackson raised $27,042, and Krassner raised $23,583 through July 30, according to the most recent campaign finance reports, which had to be submitted or mailed to the Pinellas Supervisor of Elections Office by Friday. Nobody else was even close.
The most recent reports cover only a short window, July 17-30, so there wasn't a lot of new money flowing to anybody's campaign. You can take a closer look at them here. The next reports are due Aug. 20, four days before Election Day.
Here are the total monetary contributions to date (in many cases they include money that the candidates loaned themselves):
District 2: Krassner ($23,583), Fonda Huff ($12,096)
District 3: Greg Hunsinger ($2,866), Peggy O'Shea (report not on the SOE site yet)
District 6: Linda Lerner ($8,790), Brian Hawley ($2,000)
District 7: Jackson ($27,042), Lew Williams ($9,295), Keisha Bell ($5,591)
