Janssen discusses board relations with Al Ruechel

Not to be obtuse, but it's a little hard for us at The Gradebook to understand exactly what is being asked and what is being answered in this video interview posted on the Pinellas County school district web site. So we recommend you click on the link and watch it yourself.

The interview is between Bay News 9 anchor Al Ruechel, who volunteers his time with the school district's television channel, and superintendent Julie Janssen about school board-superintendent relations.

"I'm a little bit perplexed because I do spend time with my board members one-on-one and I would hope that that venue could be used to talk to me about the issues that they have," Janssen says in the video.

Janssen and the board are scheduled to hold a workshop on Thursday, June 23, to discuss her performance. (You'll hear Janssen reference the workshop on "Tuesday," but that has since been rescheduled.)
