Janssen to hold third collaborative workshop
The third of three workshops that Pinellas Superintendent Julie Janssen has organized to solicit input about the district's future will be held Friday at the St. Petersburg College Epicenter. About 100 people have been invited, including teachers, principals, assistant principals and top district staff.
We wrote about the first two workshops - which included more than 300 people total - in this story a few weeks ago. All the input (you can see it in detail by going here) is tied to the framework outlined by the federal Race to the Top grant program. But because of changes in state law the district will have to pursue many of those issues - like revamping teacher evaluations and performance pay - whether Florida snags an RTTT grant or not.
We're not sure who's been invited. We asked the district for a list, but haven't heard back.
