Jeb's going to D.C.
The former Florida governor is taking his education show on the road. His Foundation for Excellence in Education has scheduled its second annual summit (the first one was last June in Orlando) for Oct. 8-9 in the nation’s capital.
Will Jeb get a good reception from the president? With some education experts panning Obama’s education secretary, Arne Duncan, as Margaret Spellings in drag, he might. The foundation promises the summit will tackle the “hottest and most controversial topics in education today,” including “teacher quality and the unions, the future of school choice, meaningful high school reform, ‘no-excuses’ charter schools and accountability and high standards.”
