Kathryn Starkey resigns from Pasco School Board
It's official. Pasco School Board member
Kathryn Starkey has submitted her letter of resignation to meet Florida's resign-to-run law, so that she can
seek election to Florida House District 45.
Starkey tearfully announced her irrevocable decision to her colleagues Tuesday morning.
"It's been a true honor and a privilege to serve my community," said Starkey, who is in the middle of her second term.
Board chairman Allen Altman praised Starkey's service and said that no one in the county could question her commitment to schools and students.
Starkey's resignation takes effect Nov. 2.
