Keep your pants on
Students showing up to class with their pants halfway down is nothing new, but one senator thinks the fashion statement is enough of a problem to make the practice cause for suspension. Sen. Gary Siplin, D-Orlando, filed a bill (SB 2780) this week that would prohibit students from exposing their underwear by wearing their pants or shorts below the waist. Students who violate the ban would get a warning at first, and then be suspended for three days if they do it a second time. A third violation would result in a 10-day suspension.
