Kirtley, Step Up For Students launches blog
The folks that brought Florida corporate tax credit scholarships now hope to "recast the way we perceive public education."
John Kirtley, Doug Tuthill and the crew of Step Up For Students have created redefinEd to discuss education policy both for Florida and the nation. The focus in its short life looks to be on school choice and bipartisan efforts to change the way we talk and think about schools.
From the first post: "Far too often, the debate over any education program begins first with an assessment of whether it undermines traditional neighborhood public schooling. But today’s school systems and public policies have exploded the historical definition of a public education. It’s time our discourse did so as well."
Check the blog out. It could provide an interesting spark in our ongoing debates.
