The latest AP results for Florida
This is late, but here are the latest Advanced Placement test results for Florida, which came out last week and didn't get much coverage.
The same trends continue: Participation up; number of passed tests up; pass rates down.
Florida's pass rate slipped to 41.1 percent, down from 42.9 percent last year and a high of 55.6 percent in 2000. The national pass rate fell from 56.7 percent to 55.7 percent.
At the same time, the number of AP tests taken in Florida rose 19.5 percent to 278,720, while the number scored at a 3 or above jumped 14.5 percent to 114,430.
We reported on the latest results for Pinellas and Hillsborough back in July.
