Lerner, O'Shea, Krassner win easily in Pinellas; runoff looms in District 7

So much for the anti-incumbent mood.

With the vast majority of precincts reporting, Pinellas School Board incumbents Linda Lerner and Peggy O'Shea are holding commanding leads in their re-election bids, while retired principal Terry Krassner is winning big over math/science coach Fonda Huff.

The District 7 race is headed for a runoff. Retired school district administrator Lew Williams is edging out retired psychology professor Jim Jackson, with Keisha Bell third. But no candidate has the 50 percent needed to win outright.

Here are the race-by-race numbers.

District 2: Krassner, 69 percent; Huff, 31 percent

District 3: O'Shea, 61 percent; Hunsinger, 39 percent

District 6: Lerner, 60 percent; Hawley, 40 percent

District 7: Bell, 28 percent; Jackson, 33 percent; Williams, 39 percent
