More moves on tap for Pasco school district administration
We told you earlier this week of some pending transfers and appointments in the Pasco school district administrative ranks. But there are more coming.
Interviews are scheduled for Tuesday morning so superintendent Kurt Browning can name a communications director that evening. The two finalists are Linda Cobbe, external communications manager for Hillsborough schools, and Doug Tobin, public information officer at the Pasco sheriff's office.
Browning's top staff also are preparing to recommend a new human resources director on Tuesday, after interviews completed this week. The nine candidates are Lydia Ray, the district's acting HR director; Lori Yusko Delk, director of USF's Suncoast Area Teacher Training Honors Program; Rosilyn Dickerson, HR specialist for the city of Lakeland; Christine Pejot, chief of Florida's Bureau of State Employee Workers' Compensation Claims; Monica Ilse, Anclote High principal; Janet Johnson, HR director outside the district; Terry Aunchman, district career and technical education supervisor; Tamika Baker, HR manager outside the district; and Betsy Kuhn, Tampa labor lawyer and former district employee relations supervisor.
Eight candidates also have qualified for the district's two remaining learning community executive director positions. They are John Abernathy, Wesley Chapel Elementary principal; Ray Bonti, Wiregrass Ranch High principal; Deanna DeCubellis, Title I parent involvement coordinator; Monica Ilse, Anclote High principal; Ric Mellin, Land O'Lakes High principal; Kara Smucker, Gulf Highlands Elementary principal; Soretta Ralph, former superintendent of Ohio County, Ky., schools; and Nicole Taylor, Florida Virtual School principal.
Once Browning fills his top jobs, he expects to dig deeper into a review of department operations. Stay tuned.
