Vigue, 38, was a teacher and assistant principal in New Hampshire before joining the Pinellas school district in 2006, according to district spokeswoman Andrea Zahn. He was an assistant principal at Azalea Middle in 2006-07 before joining Pinellas Park High.

Eight people interviewed for the Bogie job, Zahn said. An interview committee narrowed the field to two, and then Superintendent Julie Janssen, deputy superintendent Jim Madden, regional superintendent Carol Thomas and chief turnaround officer Rita Vasquez made the final call.

Thomas introduced Vigue to Bogie staff today. He starts work there tomorrow.
