New Poly board chooses chair, vice chair
The new Florida Polytechnic Board of Trustees now has its leaders.
Robert Gidel, a Windemere resident and managing partner of Liberty Capital Advisers who serves on the University of Florida Foundation board has been voted chairman.
Mark Bostick, president of Comcar Industries in Lake Wales and one of the original signers of a letter that started the push for the new university just a little over a year ago, is vice chair.
Those selections marked the first official vote of the Florida Poly board, meeting for the first time today in Orlando. Both Gidel and Bostick were appointed to the board by Gov. Rick Scott.
