New principal at Largo Middle

Alisa Gatlin is the new principal at Largo Middle, replacing Antelia Campbell. Here's the e-mailed announcement that area superintendent Barbara Thornton sent to Largo Middle staff members Sunday night:

The Largo Middle School principal selection process was completed this past week. A special thank you goes to Jim Barth and Debbie Stotts, for their participation in the interview part of the selection process. I am happy to report that Alisa Gatlin has been selected as the new principal of Largo Middle School. Ms. Gatlin is an outstanding administrator, who is committed to work with the staff, students, and community to create a positive learning environment at Largo Middle School.

Ms. Gatlin has been a successful assistant principal at Seminole Middle, Palm Harbor Middle and Forest Lakes Elementary. I know that Ms. Gatlin, along with the staff, will work to move Largo Middle to an even higher level. Thanks to all who sent input to Mr. Barth regarding the selection of the new principal. The input was included in the interview questions for all candidates.

Best wishes to all of you for a relaxing remainder of the summer. I am sure that Ms. Gatlin will contact you in the near future to give you an opportunity to come by the school to meet her.
