New regional superintendent on tap for Pinellas
Pinellas superintendent Julie Janssen is again recommending that Rita Vasquez, the chief turnaround officer, become the new Region 4 assistant superintendent, replacing Barbara Thornton. Janssen made the initial recommendation early last month but pulled it from the board agenda so she could have more time to talk with board members. The board is scheduled to vote on the change tomorrow.
