That's particularly evident with all the alternate versions that detractors cast about so easily - No Child Left Untested, No Public School Left Standing, No Child's Behind Left. Already, folks have been offering new ideas. University of Miami president Donna Shalala has recommended Children First! (complete with exclamation point). Others soon will follow as lawmakers consider other more substantive alterations to the act, as well.
