No Gun Left Behind

Is the gun lobby pushing too hard to overturn campus rules that bar guns? The Brady Center to Prevent Gun Violence says yes. In the wake of the April 16 shootings at Virginia Tech, it released a new report today that details such efforts in several states. “Our schools should be sanctuaries, not armed camps,” said Paul Helmke, the Brady Center’s president, in a press release. “After the massacre at Virginia Tech, we should make it harder, not easier, for dangerous people to get guns, and harder to acquire the high-capacity firepower wielded by the Virginia Tech shooter.” The report can be found at here.
