No more open wi-fi at Pasco schools

wifilogo.jpgThose of us accustomed to stopping in a Pasco County school district parking lot to check emails will have to find a new hot spot.

The district has added new security measures to its wireless system, which had been free and open to the public.

District spokeswoman Summer Romagnoli explained that the change is a direct result of the state's planned move to more computerized testing. Research and evaluation officials want to prevent people from hacking into the system and tinkering with the tests.

Bottom line: You now need a password to use the district's wi-fi. And more than likely you can't have it.
