No new applications for Lew Williams' seat
Sometimes, no news is interesting news (especially on a slow news day). By Dec. 14, six people had applied to Gov. Rick Scott in the hopes of being appointed to the Pinellas school board seat left vacant by the Dec. 3 death of Lew Williams. In the nearly two weeks since, no other applications have come in.
Don't things seem a little too quiet?
To repeat: Scott's office said there is no timeline for a decision. It also said folks must apply to be considered. Application here.
