A northern movement
As the date draws near for the State Board of Education's vote on the proposed new science standards, a growing number of school districts - particularly up north - are voicing their opposition to teaching Darwin's theory of evolution without "alternatives."
The Florida Citizens for Science blog has been keeping tabs on them, one by one, as the resolutions emerge. Most recently, Madison County's school board joined the fold, which also includes St. Johns, Baker, Clay and Hamilton.

And to think, early on it looked like the standards would sail through the approval process with mostly positive remarks.
