Obama administration supports vouchers?
Apparently yes - at least in Arizona, at least of the tax-credit variety.
With all the education news going on in Florida last week (elections, class-size, SB 6), this story got lost in the shuffle: Neal Katyal, Obama's solicitor general, speaking before the U.S. Supreme Court in support of Arizona's tax-credit voucher program.
Read some of the coverage here and here. Read the transcript of Katyal's arguments here. Read the amicus brief put together by several groups, including Florida's Step Up for Students and Jeb Bush's Foundation for Excellence in Education, here. And read the stunned reaction from Americans United for Separation of Church and State here.
