Obama's sister to visit
Sen. Barack Obama's sister, Maya Soetoro-Ng, will be in Pinellas County tomorrow morning. She's stopping by the Pinellas Classroom Teachers Association headquarters at 10 a.m., part of a swing through the Tampa Bay area that includes a "Women for Obama" reception in Tampa tonight.
A press release from the Obama '08 campaign says Soetoro-Ng is meeting with local educators to "discuss Barack Obama's plan to bring our country together to reclaim the American Dream and strengthen our schools."
Soetoro-Ng is a teacher at La Pietra, a private all-girls high school in Honolulu. She also lectures at the University of Hawaii's College of Education on multi-cultural education and the history of education.
The Pinellas event is not open to the public.
