Paper for credit not OK in Pasco schools
And that has superintendent Heather Fiorentino steamed.
School Board member Kathryn Starkey today became the latest to tell the superintendent that her daughter's teacher at River Ridge High had offered extra credit for a ream of paper. We've heard much the same from students at Wesley Chapel and Mitchell high schools, too.
Fiorentino growled, turned red and said she'd send another message to principals that such a trade is not acceptable.
"It shouldn't be occurring," assistant superintendent for high schools Jim Davis told the Gradebook. "It has nothing to do with academics."
