Pasco elementary schools to see leadership shifts
It's principal shuffling time in Pasco County schools. And this time, we're not talking about high schools. Instead, we're looking at new leaders at six elementary schools, with several assistant principal positions shifting in the mix.
The moves come as the result of opening two new schools -- Odessa and Connerton -- plus the recent resignation of John Shafchuk at Deer Park and the pending closure of Sanders (whose students will go to Connerton).
Among the changes, assistant principals Anna Falcone (Pine View) and Kara Merlin (Mittye P. Locke) will get promotions, and four sitting principals will go to new places. Read on for the full slate of changes (and be sure to grab a chair when the music stops).
