Pasco school administration continues to shift

Pasco County's Weightman Middle School got a new principal on Monday, as part of the district's continued movement of school-level administrators.

Brandon Bracciale, formerly an assistant principal at Pine View Middle School, was appointed to take over Weightman Middle. He will replace Shae Davis, who was transferred to Stewart Middle School in a shift of several east Pasco school leaders.

Superintendent Heather Fiorentino called Bracciale, who was part of the district's principal preparation program, a "fabulous" applicant for the job. He started in the district as a teacher at Chasco Middle School, and also was an assistant principal at John Long Middle. He has a master's degree from USF.

Fiorentino also named Toni Zetzsche as an assistant principal at Hudson High School. Zetzsche, previously a behavioral specialist at Hudson High, replaces Monica Carr, who was transferred to a teaching position for 2012-13.

The recommendations go to the School Board for approval on Tuesday. More administrative appointments are expected later this summer.
