Pasco School Board appoints new principal for Hudson Middle School

Kupczyk The Pasco School Board took one step closer to a full complement of principals this afternoon with the appointment of Phil Kupczyk to run Hudson Middle School.

Kupczyk, currently an assistant principal at Crews Lake Middle, takes over for Steve Van Gorden, who recently moved to lead Zephyrhills High. He officially takes over Thursday.

"I'm excited," Kupczyk told the Gradebook. "I'm going to get to know the staff, the school and how things are working over there."

Once FCAT scores come in, he said, he'll review them in conjunction with the plans Van Gorden had in place and "determine where we need to go."

Now, just one principal position needs to be filled (at least for now) after Tom Rulison retires from Centennial Middle School at the end of the school year.
